I need some ideas for a date night with my wife.  She hates going to the movies (which I love), and we usually just go out to dinner.  I'd like to do something different though.  Any suggestions?

If you live near or in a large city, check out some live comedy shows! What better way than to spend time with your wife, laughing your ass off?

In our case, since we only see each other for about an hour and a half each day, if we're lucky, we sometimes will just go get some coffee and sit down and talk. We have one rule: No discussing finances, children, or work. This forces us to dig down and talk about things like our goals as individuals, as a family, and as a couple.

Other times we do the typical dinner and a movie thing or go poke around bookstores.

Try the theatre, ballet, or opera.  Something different that can be a lot of fun.

our favorite dates have been doing things we did before kids: going to rate R movies, ordering non-chicken nugget dishes, going to the beach without shovels and buckets.

I can't remember the last time eating out without chicken nuggets/tenders and fries!  Very funny!

My wife loves Japanese Hibachi and sushi.  Great idea!
